{"id":58,"date":"2009-03-31T10:58:24","date_gmt":"2009-03-31T15:58:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.perfectevents.com\/?p=58"},"modified":"2009-06-29T15:06:40","modified_gmt":"2009-06-29T20:06:40","slug":"crawfish-boil-at-greystone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.perfectevents.com\/?p=58","title":{"rendered":"Crawfish Boil at Greystone"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.greystonecc.com\/\">Greystone Golf and Country Club<\/a> hosted their annual Crawfish Boil this past Saturday night with\u00a0entertainment provided by <a href=\"http:\/\/perfectevents.com\/\">Perfect Events Music <\/a>and our <a href=\"http:\/\/perfectevents.com\/artists.htm\">Chankayrie<\/a> band.<\/p>\n<p>Guests were greeted at the door by Greystone&#8217;s Joshua Harvey who directed them to the sumptuous tables of red beans &amp; rice, jambalaya, peel &amp; eat shrimp and of course&#8230;boiled crawfish!\u00a0 All\u00a0expertly prepared by Greystone&#8217;s Chef Mooney.<\/p>\n<p>Chankayrie is one the region&#8217;s top Cajun bands.\u00a0 Several years ago they were known by the name La Nuit Blanche, after slight personnel changes the group took on the name Chankayrie.\u00a0 (News is, that an easier to pronounce name may be forthcoming!)\u00a0 The five-member\u00a0band plays traditional French Cajun music with a little bit of swamp-pop thrown in for fun.<\/p>\n<p>Some 100 guests attended and\u00a0had a great time.\u00a0 Apparently even Flat Stanley did a bit of dancing and sat in with the band!\u00a0 According to Joshua, the event was &#8220;Fantastic!&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Greystone Golf and Country Club hosted their annual Crawfish Boil this past Saturday night with\u00a0entertainment provided by Perfect Events Music and our Chankayrie band.
