{"id":31,"date":"2009-03-30T19:57:30","date_gmt":"2009-03-31T00:57:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.perfectevents.com\/?p=31"},"modified":"2009-06-29T15:07:27","modified_gmt":"2009-06-29T20:07:27","slug":"wedding-preview-day-at-cates-house","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.perfectevents.com\/?p=31","title":{"rendered":"Wedding Preview Day at Cates House"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sunday afternoon&#8217;s Bridal Show at Alabaster&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cateshouse.com\">Cates House <\/a>was deemed a success by all who were involved.<\/p>\n<p>For many years, the Cates House was reknowned as the Meadowlark Restaurant.\u00a0\u00a0Recently, \u00a0Kingwood Church in Alabaster bought the facility and is now offering it as a venue for garden weddings, corporate meetings and other special events.<\/p>\n<p>Our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.perfectevents.com\/Dolce%20Duo%201.htm\">Dolce Duo <\/a>has\u00a0had the pleasure of providing music for a number of weddings at Cates House and with each meeting, our admiration, respect and affection for executive director Brenda Lee\u00a0continues to grow.\u00a0 Brenda is professional, warm, and genuinely caring towards her clients and vendors.<\/p>\n<p>And what a great group of vendors it was on Sunday! \u00a0 Having worked on past weddings together\u00a0I\u00a0so enjoyed speaking again with Gary of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rushvideos.com\">Rush Video<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0And it was a\u00a0pleasure to get together once more with Stacie and Dana of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.staciecollinsphotography.com\/\">Stacie Collins Photography<\/a>.\u00a0 Tiffany&#8217;s\u00a0floral arrangements (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.studioflower.com\">Studio Flowers<\/a>) were as creative and charming as ever and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.charlessidesphoto.com\/\">Charles Side&#8217;s<\/a> displayed photography was impressive.\u00a0\u00a0 Ron Marko (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.vintageautochauffeur.com\">Vintage Auto<\/a>), along with his\u00a0latest purchase (Rolls?\u00a0 Bentley?) \u00a0was on hand\u00a0to talk cars.\u00a0 Personally, I&#8217;m dreaming for a &#8217;57 T-Bird.\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mrburchformalwear.com\/\">Mr. Burch&#8217;s <\/a> groom&#8217;s t-shirts were a big hit.\u00a0 Hair styling and make-up were being offered by Amy Ledford, Candy Gonzales and Denise West.<\/p>\n<p>When all was over&#8230;we ate!\u00a0 What wonderful food&#8230;attractive <em>and<\/em> tasty.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0For dessert: decadent cakes (chocolate ganache and white almond) by Amanda Combs.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0A nice day.<\/p>\n<p>Thank-you so very much Brenda!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sunday afternoon&#8217;s Bridal Show at Alabaster&#8217;s Cates House was deemed a success by all who were involved.
